An image of a notepad on a desk with the writing "What if..."

The same question, not just on
paper… but everyone’s mind.

“What if…”

‘The first text? 5:14 AM

“I talked a jumper off a balcony this morning. A young husband, father of three…he kept saying he didn’t want his sons to know and he shouldn’t have issues like this.” The second text came four hours later.

“Forgot to tell you. I used your story to get him down.”

My first words to Alyson?
“What if I hadn’t shared the whole story, does that guy make it home?”

Conversations end. Words don’t. Neither does, “What if…”

Words and sentences are like feet…all shapes and sizes, pedicured, smelly, even broken. Most of us don’t pay attention to them…until there’s a problem.

Just like feet, words leave an impression — WORDprints.
Some get erased, others left deep marks, encouragement, shame, hope, labels, and more Years later we remember them—and carry their weight called WORDload.

The WORDprint for one young woman? One sentence. Three words. The WORDload nearly cost her life and she’s never returned to church. You can read her story here.

Her story saved my life. That’s a WORDprint.

I still ask, “What if she had said nothing?”

WORDprints take us next level or leave us searching for any firm level. We’re building a WORDwall of examples here.

“What if…”
A word or sentence you’ve been carrying, leaves a lasting WORDprint on somebody else? What if it can encourage. What if it tells some they’re not alone?

What if it helps you release some of your own WORDload?

The only way to find out? Leave an anonymous or first name only word or sentence that impacted you below. Someone say something that made your day? Send the word or sentence. Someone say something that that left a mark? Send it — and see if someone else had something similar. Because none of us are alone. Submit as many as you like, but 1 at a time, please.)

This made me feel less alone, and easier to share something that has a hold on me.
